Part 1: Salt Tasting & Studio Tour, $80
Part 1 of a two-part event for SF Art Week, the tasting will be a curated salt education with 10 tastes from around the world, light bites (veggies, bread, butter etc), and drinks. Guests will leave with a custom plate from Erin Hupp Ceramics and a jar of salt.
After the tasting, guests will take a studio tour of the Fryn furniture workshop and have the first preview of the food-themed art show in the showroom space.
This event is limited to 20 people.
Part 2: Panel Discussion & Art Show, free
Part 2 is a panel discussion on the creativity and storytelling that enhances the dining experience beyond the food. From the curation of the guests, the choice of location, the design of your space, and the memories you take away from those experiences. The showroom will also feature a curated art show with food as the subject.

Erin Hupp is a local ceramic artist known for her custom plate ware and collaborations with chefs
Kelly Waters, Founder and Creative Director of Studio Waters, and design gallery, And A Tangerine
Amanda Akoto, founder of Glasshouse Flora, a conscience floral design studio in SF, and former chef
The art show will be available for viewing M-F Jan. 20-24 9 am-5 pm at the Fyrn Showroom, 542 Alabama Street, SF
Artists will include:
Risa Culbertson: Specializing in wacky, whimsical, and colorful work meant to brighten up the gloomiest of days. Her artwork is all about being playful as a way to recharge the creative spirit and find ways to stay connected to those we love. Works will be from her felted food collection.
Nina Katchadourian: born in California and currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany and Brooklyn, New York. In 2010, Nina Katchadourian was awaiting takeoff on her flight from Atlanta to New York’s LaGuardia airport when she had a thought that would irrevocably alter her creative production. “I have two-and-a-half hours ahead of me,” she recalled thinking in a recent interview with Artsy. “Why does it feel like this time already doesn’t count?” Photography works provided by Catherine Clark Gallery.
Erin Hupp: Ceramic artist Erin Hupp (she/her) collaborates with fine dining restaurants to create bespoke hand-thrown tableware pieces which bring the chef's vision to life. Erin’s mirrors take her art practice to a new plane: from the horizontal table to the vertical wall. As you peer into each mirror they become a portal into the exquisite details of a room. They allow you to focus your attention on glimpses of fabrics, colors, textures, art, light and create moments of focus on and connection with the space that surrounds you.
Amanda Akoto: Glasshouse Flora will be presenting out evenings food forward floral piece. Amanda Akoto-Legrand is the woman behind Glasshouse Flora.After making a career pivot as a Chef making beautiful foods in Michelin Stared restaurants, to now creating beauty out of seasonal flora. Amanda starting her flora journey as a designer in local flower shops, growing as flower farmer, and refining as a freelancer.
